Powering the Liftmaster SW425
1) Standard / AC Power
The standard power supply version is made to connect directly to 115v, 5 amp power source sand is available for full systems compatibility models. This power supply must be at or near the gate operator location. Because of the low current draw, 115v power may be run as far as 1000 ft. with 12 guage wire from the main breaker panel and can be run much farther with larger wire. Price shown here is for Battery Power model, bi-parting gates.
2) Low Voltage Battery Powered (see Liftmaster SW425BP)
To supply power to the SW425 battery, wire as small as 16 guage can be run as far as 300 feet from a charger that is plugged in remotely. Because the power is low 12 Volt DC, the wire can be direct burial wired which eliminates the need for expensive conduit runs. Price shown here is for Battery Power model, bi-parting gates.
