Solar gate opener power is a great alternative for a gate opener
that is too far away from a conventional power source. Amazing

most cases, you won't even know it's solar powered. The secret
is in a good deep cycle marine battery wired directly to a
solar panel facing due south with plenty of sunlight between
10 am and 2 pm.
A simple system comprised of operator, radio controls, and an
exit sensor will open a gate about 15 times every day with
a 20 watt solar panel. To increase the number of cycles per
day or add equipment, you may need additional solar panels. The reliability of the system is impacted by the amount of equipment drawing

Solar Tip: We recommend you keep a voltage meter handy to examine the charge on the battery
in colder months. A voltage meter will help you diagnose the cause of any opener failure and is available at your local hardware store.
